Welcome to ADA Consulting

Counselling on anti-discrimination in the world of work: independent, free of charge, confidential

Are you in disadvantaged or discriminated against in the working environment because of your ethnic origin, gender, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual identity or because of racial prejudice? Are you unsure how to fight against discrimination and what your next steps might be? Then you are welcome to contact us. We provide independent, confidential and free advice on different dimensions of discrimination. More information can be found under the different sections of this website.

Our advisory Services

Under Kontakt you can find out how to arrange a consultation appointment. It is important to us: Different people have different needs. While some people want a personal meeting so that they can open up, others prefer to remain more or less anonymous for the time being. That is why ADA offers three different types of counselling:

  • Personal consultation at the ADA office or on the phone
  • Online advice by e-mail

Principles of our counselling work

Regardless of the way in which you seek advice: Our advice is always based on the following key points.

  1. We advise free of charge, independently and, if necessary, anonymously. The consultations are held in German, English, Spanisch, French or Turkish. Other languages by prior arrangement.
  2. Anyone who has experienced discrimination in other areas of life (e.g. in finding accommodation) can at least receive initial counselling at ADA.
  3. We listen: There is no time pressure, your presentation will not be questioned by us.
  4. We will help you to better understand the discriminatory situation. To this end, we also ask questions and, if you wish, provide feedback on how we see the problem.
  5. Together with you, we develop possible solutions. This also includes the question of whether there are allies in your company, i.e. people who could support you directly (colleagues, works or staff councils, the management etc.)
  6. We support you in implementing the solution approach you have chosen. We can put you in touch with other advice centres, lawyers, trade unions, therapists or self-help groups.
